Despite what most people think in the upper Midwest, it will get warm soon, and that mans one thing: Patio Season. I am so excited to enjoy drinks and meals outside and look forward to someday having a patio of my own. Per usual, I will decorate it with bright colors and retro, vintage furniture. As one of my good friends would say, I covet these metal chairs.
CB2 is coming to Uptown Minneapolis! I am in love with this store – an off-shoot of Crate and Barrel, but cheaper! How much better can it get? The style reminds me of a higher quality version of IKEA. I’m like IKEA just like the next person, but let’s be honest – you buy the items for a starter home or with an expiration date in mind. CB2 is a higher quality, which does come with a higher price, but nowhere near its parent store. Check out some of the new styles and start the countdown until Fall 2011 in Uptown!
I’m having a lazy day and just want to jump into this bed and burrow away for the day. I’m loving the color scheme, iron bed, and wood plank floors.
Floral prints are very in this season – how perfect for spring! I’m in love with this look – whether it be in a shirt, scarf or dress. If you would have asked me 5 years ago, I would have said this is a print my grandmother would wear, but as it usually happens, fashions become cyclical. Check out Banana Republic for some amazing prints and styles.
I have been struggling to find the perfect foundation for years now. I have oily skin and have tried drug store brands, expensive department store brands and everything in between. Well I think I finally found the perfect “in between” brand – Origins. I love that all their products are free of parabens, phthalates propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA and animal ingredients. Plus, the best part is you can get the foundation for only $21! Think about it – you wear makeup everyday, you and your skin deserve the best!
Like everyone else in the world right now, I’m obsessed with the Adele “21” CD. One song can make me cry in an instant. Someone Like You is brilliant. It addresses every single girl’s fear and regrets from a lost relationship and brings truth to the reality that “Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead.”. I could listen to it on repeat all day.
I absolutely adore this idea. I am always running across vintage, metal strainers at antique shops in a variety of colors. I don’t want to actually use them in the kitchen because it makes me nervous to put food in a container that has been sitting in a dusty store for who know how long; however, this is a perfect solution! Get ready for spring and planting flowers.
Breakups are always hard – especially when you know you should be over things but just can’t seem to shake the feelings. I heard Sara Evans perform her song “Stronger” the other night and really related to the lyrics. Now all I have to do is multiply her “one month” lyric by 14. Every works at their own pace I guess.
